Автоматическая система проектирования для оптоволокон. LCAD предоставляет проектировщикам, системным интеграторам и администраторам программную поддержку в сопровождении базы данных оптоволоконных приборов, проектировании схем, расчете указанных ограничений, тестировании спроектированных моделей и т.д.


Основные задачи системы

LCAD provides the following software support to designers, system integrators and administrators:
Use, customize and build up a database of elements according to customer requirements, standards and Характеристики;
Design fiber optical circuit diagrams of any complexity level (network topology);
Relate the diagram objects to those stored in database; create appliance models;
Calculate any constraints, both external (environmental) and internal, that influence the quality issues of data transfer;
Simulate the fiber-optical elements and circuits;
Simulate the status and operation of fiber optical networks (channels) or their specified nodes to estimate the required constraints, including the loss of optical wave and the level of noise;
Find the best operating mode and conditions;
Log the work results in a visual format.

LCAD easily integrates in the developer's environment by 100% customization to exactly comply with the standards, element base and practice applied by each our customer.

To provide visual design support, LCAD takes advantage of integration with Visio Professional 5.0 - an advanced application for business graphics.

LCAD supports digital, mixed digital/analog, and analog fiber-opical systems.

The following constraints can be estimated at pre-design/analysis stage:

Bandwidth;
Dynamic range;
Signal/noise level;
Non-linear distortions;

Rate of data transfer (MBps);
Error probability;
Channel phase jitter;
Channel precision;

Design Stage

At the design stage, LCAD users can create and edit the circuit diagrams, specify the network topology and physical/chemical constraints on the runtime environment. External constraints like temperature, humidity, channel length and frequency width can be defined too.

Operation steps within this stage:
Input the network constraints (channel capacity, carrier wave, line length, signal model) and environment constraints;
Select the circuit technology (types of elements, manufacture etc.) according to customer Характеристики;
Visually create the circuit diagrams;
Revise the project documentation for compliance to formal requirements for the network.

Simulation / Test Run

Here, the developers can simulate and test the circuit diagrams using mathematical modeling; calculate the dependencies that influence the network behavior by changing the wave length; elaborate the network testing methodology; detect the drift of parameters in system nodes.

The mathematical model offers the folloging estimates:
Rate of data transfer;
Noise, damp and power output value and at all network nodes;
Dependencies between the parameters;
Power balance;
Channel distortion and noise protection;

Documentation Stage

At the documentation stage, LCAD provides the following support:
Get the formal diagram of network circuit / channel circuit;
Generate and output diagrams to describe the current status of model nodes (amplitude-to-frequency, phase-to-frequency etc.);
Generate and output an expert report matrix;
Generate diagrams to describe the network stability status;
Estimate the network reliability.
